Jamie Oliver is one my idols. He is an inspirational chef and person, not only for his culinary skills, finesse and charm but his dedication and passion for food. Whether it’s campaigning to improve the standard of meals served in Britain’s schools, educating a nation on the importance of healthy eating or simply exciting your passion for cooking – Jamie has created a conversation in order to create a Food Revolution.
I’ve been a fan of Jamie Oliver for quite some time, from his Naked Chef days to Jamie’s School Dinners to Jamie’s Great Italian Escape to Jamie’s Ministry of Food to Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution – all having one common goal, to educate society about food.
“My wish is to create a strong sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity.” – Jamie Oliver
His devotion to spreading the word about the importance of healthy eating, is something that I have the utmost respect and admiration for. It is such an important message and hopefully we can achieve it with the proper education.
Below is a video of Jamie’s TED Talk about his Food Revolution and his hope for change. Food Revolution Day 2015 is on May 15th, be sure to check out what it’s all about. #FoodRevolutionDay
